Hypnotherapy for Complex Problems. Many of my hypnotherapy clients experience more complex problems. These complex problems often form a repeating pattern. For instance, you attract a succession of abusive or excessively needy partners, till you end up feeling that- "It's as if I've got the word VICTIM written on my forehead." Hypnotherapy can help to free you from this trap. You may have felt that your complex problems are due to fate, or some kind of punishment. But it is actually you who are punishing yourself. It is as if your Inner Mind has been programmed to keep seeking out the same unpleasant situations. Hypnotherapy may be needed to uncover your internal "rules" that govern everything you do. Such rules may include "It's no use getting big ideas. I shouldn't get above myself. I know my limitations." "Any new venture will always end in tears. Don't risk anything- its better to be safe than sorry." "I must never break a friendship- (Even if my so-called friends treat me like dirt!)" "All men are bastards." “All women are bitches”. "Everybody hates me- or would do, if I let them get close enough to see me." Your
Inner Mind filters your experience. If you paid attention to everything life
threw at you, it would be too confusing. Your Inner Mind controls what you
notice, what you remember, what you believe to be possible. That's why a woman
who thinks "All men are bastards" will actually keep meeting
unpleasant and abusive men- thus confirming her belief, and continuing her
complex problems. Hypnotherapy enables you to choose a new set of internal
“rules” for your Inner Mind, opening yourself to happiness and
opportunity. SELF
HELP SLOT. Earlier I mentioned the "rules" which seem to govern some
peoples' lives. If you seriously want to change your own life, you can start
by making a list of your own internal "rules" that govern your
thinking and behaviour. Start with the "rules" I listed above, and
consider which if any would apply to you. Then think of any other rules which
I haven't mentioned. Now take what seem like the most powerful
"rules", and try to remember where you first heard them or
recognised them. Then consider whether they apply to everyone, or whether you
know any decent normal people to whom they don't apply. .
